VDA 6.4

The major success of the quality standard VDA 6.1 in series production prompted the German automotive industry to create VDA 6.4 as a reliable regulatory framework for suppliers of production resources. These include, for example, manufacturers of tools, plant and machinery, appliances, and testing and measuring equipment.
Both the certification procedure and the evaluation model of VDA 6.4 are similar to VDA 6.1. However, VDA 6.4 addresses the special needs of production resource manufacturers.
